Producer Says: Jan De Lichte is a wheat beer, brewed according to the ancient Brabantine wheat beer tradition. It is a "double" wheat (white) beer because of the 7% alcohol percentage. The spicy beer with citrus aromas bears the name of the 18th century leader of a gang of robbers that plagued the region of Aalst. At the age of 23 Jan De Lichte was broken on the wheel at the Grote Markt in Aalst.
